Chris Hyman CBE - Chairman
Chris was appointed Chairman of CPS when it was bought by Privet Capital LLP in 2016.
Chris has extensive sector experience in running businesses in defence, transport, government outsourcing, education, healthcare and science. He was the Group CEO of Serco, a FTSE 100 business, with £5bn annual turnover in 40 countries and 130,000 staff, with a 20 year compound growth in turnover and profit over 15%. Chris also has a long experience of bidding for and buying loss making/under-performing businesses and with excellent record of turning them around to long term profitability.
In addition, Chris was awarded a CBE by the Queen in 2010 and is an Ambassador for the Prince of Wales, having chaired his charity, IKD, of which he now sits on the International Board.
Chris is a Chartered Accountant, trained and qualified with Arthur Andersen and studied at Durban Howard College and Harvard Business School.
Adam Lawrence OBE - CEO
Adam joined CPS from The Royal Mint where he served as Chief Executive between 2011 and summer 2017. During this time, Adam led the business through a period of transformational development. Prior to joining The Royal Mint in 2008 as Director of Finance, Adam held senior positions with Catalent Pharmaceuticals and its predecessor businesses in Australia, Asia, Europe and the US. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse and holds an MBA from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
In June 2018 Adam was awarded an OBE from the Queen.
Darren Wick – Managing Director, The Americas
Darren is responsible for the Americas region. Darren joined CPS in February 2015 in the role of Operations & Supply Chain Director. In this role, he was responsible for the full operations and supply chain process for all CPS products.
Darren has more than 15 years experience in manufacturing and held senior positions in global sourcing, supply chain, program management and operations management. Prior to joining CPS he was Program and Supply Chain Director at Analogic, a medical and security products manufacturer, where he managed the transfer and localisation of medical equipment production lines from the United States to a purpose built facility in China. Darren has also held roles in the automotive and industrial sectors where he established international purchasing offices in China and India.
Jim Richards – Managing Director, EMEA
Jim joined CPS in September 2016 and is responsible for the EMEA region. Prior to this, Jim held the position of Global Business Development Director, where he was responsible for all sales, business development, marketing and commercial related activities as well as our software solutions. Jim has over 15 years of sales, strategic business development and senior leadership experience, of which 10 years was spent within De La Rue Identity Systems working closely with Governments globally to deliver world class, innovative and complex solutions.
Prior to this, Jim worked as a Regional Managing Director for Digital Barriers; a specialist provider of advanced surveillance technologies to the international security and defence markets. He also spent over 10 years serving as an Officer in the British Army.
Shawn Ashdown - Managing Director, Asia Pacific
Having spent much of his career working in cash processing operations, Shawn has an in depth understanding of the processes involved in managing cash as well as the priorities and challenges faced by Central Banks, Commercial banks and CITs. Shawn started his career working for a commercial bank in its cash processing centre in South Africa. He then worked for a CIT company that began cash processing operations in the early 90’s. During the 17 years with this company Shawn managed various operations as well as projects from implementing cash processing software to re-engineering the cash processes. Shawn then moved to CPS where he spent ten years managing the Africa region until recently where he is now responsible for the Asia and Pacific regions.
Jamie Cockerell - Software Solutions Director
Jamie is responsible for managing and driving forward our software solutions business, which includes our market-leading cash supply chain platform ECM™ - the most widely used cash management platform in the world. Jamie has a huge wealth of experience in the industry, working with over 100 central banks and commercial cash processing organisations across the globe.
Jamie joined CPS in 1995 and has held various positions within our software business during that time. Most recently Jamie was Head of Professional Services at CPS, where he led a team of specialist business & software consultants who work in partnership with central banks and commercial processors across the world to deliver to transformational solutions that bring positive impacts on the cash cycle, and processing operations.
Martin Hobhouse - Strategic Accounts & High Speed Product Strategy Director
Martin has over twenty years experience in the cash processing industry having joined the Cash Systems division of De La Rue in 1995. After an initial period as Sales Director, Martin held a number of senior leadership positions including the roles of Commercial, Service and Implementation Directors. Martin has been involved in all aspects of the CPS portfolio and is well regarded within the industry for his extensive industry knowledge and long standing industry relationships. Martin is now Strategic Accounts & High Speed Product Strategy Director.
Dara Beggan - Technical Services Director
Dara has worked with CPS since 1990, first as manager of the Irish business, then as European Service Director then Global Service Director. Dara currently holds the position of Technical Services Director and is responsible for the global infrastructure, standardisation and knowledge support required for service delivery to our customers.
Dara has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in the cash processing industry, and as a former regional manager for De La Rue Currency he also brings an in-depth knowledge of banknotes and the total cash cycle. Originally qualifying in Electronic Engineering and later obtaining a Masters in Business Administration, Dara’s focus is on driving operational performance in field service, motivating and developing our service teams, delivering critical value to our client base and developing innovative service solutions, including some of the largest support contracts for CPS across the globe.
Shawn Hawks - General Manager, Dallas
Shawn Hawks joined CPS in 2018 as General Manager of our high-speed sorter Engineering & Manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas. Shawn brings a wealth of expertise to the cash industry, including operational excellence and organisational leadership and development.
Shawn has 20 years’ experience of management, strategic planning and business operations across various industries. Before joining CPS, Shawn had a long career with Cessna Aircraft where his lean approach achieved record levels of improvement in on-time delivery, cost savings and process efficiency. Shawn then moved to tier 1 aerospace manufacturer in Texas, where he took on the role as Senior Director.
Andrew Crawshaw - Chief Financial Officer
Andrew joined CPS in May 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. Andrew has held senior finance positions at Mitie Group plc, Serco Group plc and British Airways, in both divisional and group leadership roles. Earlier in his career, Andrew has lived and worked in Russia and America after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London.
