Ethics

We recognise the importance of credibility, integrity and trustworthiness to our success as a business. We are committed to upholding high ethical standards in all our operations, everywhere in the world. We believe in the principles of honesty, fairness, and respect for individual and community freedoms.

We operate in line with the principles of international social standards and legislation such as the Modern Slavery Act, SA8000, ILO convention and OECD guidelines, which seek to guarantee the basic rights of workers.

CPS’ Ethical Framework includes policies and processes as follows:

  • Supplier vetting and on-boarding
  • Distributor vetting and on-boarding
  • Equal opportunities
  • Grievance and whistle-blowing
  • Disciplinary processes
  • Remuneration committee and governance of incentive (bonus) payments
  • Travel & expenses policy
  • Segregation of duties for expenses approval and payment
  • Data Protection
  • Acceptable use of IT
  • ISO management systems
  • Health & safety

Equality and Diversity

Our policy is to treat all employees fairly and equally in recruitment, training, development, promotion and in terms and conditions of employment irrespective of their sex, transgender status, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marital status, civil partnership status, age, colour, nationality, national origin, ethnic origin, disability or trade union membership or affiliation. If an employee becomes disabled when in the business employment, full support is given through the provision of special training, equipment or other resources to facilitate continued employment wherever possible.

Every manager and employee has a responsibility to ensure that our equal opportunities policy is implemented.

Supply Chain Diversity Statement

We are committed to providing equal opportunities in sourcing, regardless of race, gender, marital status, age, disability, religious belief, political opinion, or sexual orientation.

We aim to maximise supply chain opportunities by proactively seeking and building strong, value focused relationships with all our suppliers. We expect our suppliers to support our commitment.

Anti-Bribery & Corruption

All employees and third party partners are invited to take part in Anti-Bribery and Corruption training, which is refreshed regularly. Gifts and hospitality may be offered and accepted but must be modest and appropriate and should not be capable of misinterpretation if publicly disclosed. CPS makes no distinction between bribes and facilitation payments, which are also prohibited.

Philanthropy

CPS supports employees who wish to undertake philanthropic and fundraising initiatives. CPS social clubs across our sites have held events in aid of local and international charities, including MacMillan Cancer Support, Save the Children and Comic Relief.
