Our SmartShred™ range includes bespoke end-to-end destruction, conveying and collection systems. Each system is designed to guarantee the highest levels of operational security whilst maintaining the flexibility to meet your specific needs. The modular design means our solutions are configurable to best suit your needs including different substrates and volumes.
An on-line shredder can be integrated into the 7000i™ for secure destruction of unfit banknotes. A security hold pocket, safety covers, dual key interlocks and an independent banknote counter ensure the security of banknote destruction.
Designed for the destruction of poor quality banknotes that cannot be processed through machines, banknotes can be fed either loose, strapped or bundled into the granulator. Our off-line granulation systems can destroy bundles of up to 1,000 banknotes. This solution can be used alongside on-line shredding.
For printworks specifically, we can provide banknote sheet shredding, using 4-shaft shredders which produce minimal noise and dust. Processing from 500 kilograms of banknote sheets per hour, our shredders cut sheets into 40-50mm pieces. The shredder can be used stand-alone or as a pre-process into the granulation machine, transported via the air conveying system.
Used at a central collection point, bagging units can be used to collect shredded banknotes from both the on-line shredders and off-line granulators. This process is used for lower volumes as well as all polymer and hybrid substrates. The shreds are sent to the bagging unit via an air conveying system. The full bags of banknotes are then taken away for disposal.
For large volumes of paper banknotes a briquetter can be used to compact the shreds, reducing their volume. The shreds are sent from the on-line shredder or off-line granulator, or both, via the air conveying system to the briquetter. Powerful hydraulic rams compress the shreds into small briquettes at a throughput from 60 kilograms per hour to over 1,000 kilograms per hour. The briquettes are then taken away for disposal.
Whether you are looking to upgrade existing equipment, expand your capacity, increase efficiency, integrate software, automate processes or build a brand-new cash centre from the ground up, our team will work with you every step of the way.
We believe your data belongs to you, and the open architecture of our hardware and software solutions gives you direct access to your data, without having to come through us.
ECM™ is the market-leading integrated cash supply chain platform, enabling the strict application of internal processes and providing security, control and visibility of new and used note inventory.
BI™ provides real time data on a cash operation using simple dashboards to illustrate performance against pre-defined acceptable standards. Data can be seen in real-time at machine level, at entire cash centre level or even across multiple sites.
The latest sorter from CPS, the 7000i™ is an intelligent, intuitive and innovative solution providing secure, efficient and cost-effective high-speed, high-volume banknote processing.
7000i™ QC is a unique concept which enables central banks to sort used banknotes and quality control (QC) new banknotes prior to issue, on one high-speed sorting machine.
The best in class vacuum design of our SmartFeed™ banknote feeder range, ensures optimal handling of even the poorest quality banknotes. Depending on your volumes and desired levels of automation, our range of feeders means you can select the one that suits your needs.
Our SmartVision™ imaging system is the foundation of the 7000i™. Our high-resolution reflective cameras capture images of the banknotes at an industry-leading standard of 150dpi, resulting in precision measurements for banknote fitness, classification and authentication decisions.
Our SmartDetect™ sensor suite is configured as required. Our flexible machine design and open architecture software enable us to integrate sensors from a third party. These sensors integrate easily through our sensor interfaces and machine communication systems.
Modular in design, the 7000i™ can be configured to suit any processing environment. The base unit includes 4 output pockets and 1 reject pocket, with additional 2 or 5 pocket modules available up to a 19+1 configuration. Our SmartStack™ range includes SmartStack™ IPB, our in-pocket banding and bundling option.
For added efficiency and security, SmartPack™ provides a fully automated, closed-loop system for the collection, transportation, labelling and shrink-wrapping of packs of up to 1,000 banknotes.
SmartShred™ provides total security and confidence in secure banknote destruction and includes bespoke end-to-end destruction, conveying and collection systems.
Automated Commercial Deposit Processing (ACDP) enables the processing of multiple customer deposits continuously in one pass. This is complemented by Quick Deposit Processing (QDP™) which increases productivity by speeding up the reconciliation process.
Our range of tailored service and support options are designed to optimise machine performance, machine availability and efficiency. Our team of over 300 service engineers located around the world, make up our Global Knowledge Network, implementing best-practice and identifying opportunities for system advancement and value add process improvements.
"CPS is a critical partner to our business. Their BI™ software and sorting machines, supported by a service and maintenance programme makes up our fully integrated solution, which has enabled us to increase throughput and efficiency."

"The 7000i™ QC is used in our inspection of new banknotes in addition to the inspection and analysis of the quality of
banknotes in circulation and in quality verification and destruction of unfit banknotes. This combination is cost
effective for us and gives us good flexibility, and we are overall very satisfied with the solution."
